Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use thewifeofmyyouth.com and when you order The Wife of My Youth. In short: the website itself collects nothing about you, uses no cookies and no trackers, and an order only reaches us when you send it yourself on WhatsApp.
Who we are
The person responsible for your information (the data controller) is Samuel Owere, author and seller of The Wife of My Youth, Kampala, Uganda. The website is built and maintained for him by Simtabi. You can reach us on WhatsApp +256 752 610 655.

Orders on WhatsApp
The order form works entirely in your browser. When you press Send order on WhatsApp, it prepares a message and opens WhatsApp; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else until you press send in WhatsApp yourself. You can read the message first, and change or delete anything in it.
Once you send it, the message and your WhatsApp number and profile reach us through WhatsApp, a service of Meta, which handles them under its own privacy policy. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted. Meta may process information outside Uganda.
We use your order only to confirm it, agree payment and delivery, deliver it, and answer your questions. We do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep you informed.
Your device: no cookies
This site sets no cookies. It can keep a few items in your browser’s storage, and only these:
| Item | Contains | Purpose | Needs your consent |
|---|---|---|---|
twomy-consent | Your privacy choice and when you made it | Essential | No |
twomy-order | The name and delivery area you last used in the order form | Remember me | Yes |
twomy-journey | Which parts of the page you have seen, for the Explore progress | Remember me | Yes |
twomy-theme | Whether you chose the light or dark look, so it stays the same on your next visit | Remember me | Yes |
twomy-nav (session storage) | The section you were reading, whether the menu or a question was open, and your scroll position, so a reload or the back button returns you there. Deleted when you close the tab | Essential | No |
twomy-theme (session storage) | The light or dark look you picked with the header button, kept while you browse. Deleted when you close the tab; nothing is kept until you press it | Essential | No |
None of it leaves your device. Change your choice at any time in ; withdrawing consent deletes the items it covered straight away.
We use no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. If we ever add visitor statistics, they will be off until you allow them, will never include your name, number or messages, will respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, and this notice will be updated first.
Server logs
Like any website, our web host’s servers record each request: the IP address, browser type, page asked for and time. The host uses these to keep the site secure and working and keeps them for a short period. We do not combine them with anything else.
Other sites
Everything on this page, including fonts and the QR codes, is served from this website. Other services only see you if you follow a link to them: WhatsApp, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Facebook, X or Instagram. Their own privacy policies then apply.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We share your delivery details only with the person delivering your order, and information with authorities only when the law requires it.
Your rights
Under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you may ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to or ask us to stop processing it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR also gives you the rights to restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before.
To use any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp +256 752 610 655. We will reply without undue delay. We may need to confirm it is you before sharing information.
Children
This site and the book are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children; if you believe a child has sent us their details, message us and we will delete them.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, runs no third-party scripts, and uses a strict Content Security Policy that stops other code from running on its pages. Security issues can be reported to security@thewifeofmyyouth.com.
Changes
We will update this notice when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be shown on the home page.
